One thing 2020 was good for was sunshine.
There was loads of it throughout the summer. Warming and nurturing an otherwise pretty bleak existence- sorry for the gloom but we’re all in agreement it totally sucked yeah?
On one of the hottest days I photographed one of the hottest UK bands IDLES for the cover of Music Week. It was planned to be a studio shoot but I couldn’t resist a few shots outside in the cooling shade. Despite nearing the end of two days and countless shoots in the studio by that point, the band really brought their A game, giving me everything I asked for and more. The familiarity and brotherhood between them was infectious and for a little while there I felt part of their crew.
