Splashh

In this months Fly magazine are the fruits of my hour spent with Splashh.
As with many band shoots, I was constrained to a location close to where the band were performing that night. This is often a case of making the best out of a bad situation yet this time I was fortunate enough to have the sun on my side and a housing estate in Hackney on hand to provide several interesting backdrops.
I met the band in a pub where they were polishing off a takeaway they had tried to fit in around sound-checking and setting up. I felt a little imposing sitting there watching them eat, like I was somehow being over familiar sitting at their table whilst they were trying to relax but they didn’t seem to mind.
We moved rapidly from area to area around the estate and thankfully the sun enhanced each location, fitting triumphantly with the boys aesthetic and psychedelic music.
