I’m a big fan of Zoe Ball. She comes across well in interviews and is super smart and charming, like you could spend a really fun evening chatting whilst smashing through a bottle of wine.
The shoot wasn’t particularly easy, it was quite a fast one and the brief was to make an empty PR office look like it could be her home (in the end I went for a ‘New York loft’ vibe with the brick wall backing, shoved a plant in the background and kept a close crop for the feature). Although it wasn’t an ideal backdrop, she is as brilliant as I imagined her so I got my fun hang out (minus wine) with conversation flowing from Toast of London and Clem Fandango, our shared interest in Zelda Fitzgerald to some great book recommendations on 1920’s flappers.
