Every year I photograph the London Classic, a charity cycle ride which raises vital funds for The Evelina Childrens hospital by emulating the Paris-Roubaix over our very own cobbles and up our lung bursting South London hills.
The route takes in 38.8 miles of Londons central London streets beginning and ending at The Gipsy Hill tavern in SE19 where you can finish with a pint and watch the original French race live on the big screen.
Since it started four years ago numbers have raised incredibly, and with a voluntary recommended donation of £15, this year the organisers had raised over £3k before the lycra saw the light of day.
As ever I had my trusty steed Stan to drive me around on the back of his new BMW scooter (very exciting!) racing through the route to find the most photogenic parts. He truly is a legend, especially as every time I start by digging in my knees and squeezing until I relax, so thanks very much Stan.
