Deep in the woods on the cliffs above Hastings, there lives a trio of buzzing beehives which belong to Katherine O’Brien, founder and owner of ethical beauty company Bee Potion. Using ingredients derived from bees, she has created a holistic apothecary range which look good and do great things to your skin.

On a scorching August day, myself and writer Jessica Johnson visited Katherine at the hives and followed her process from collecting the ingredients up high on those cliffs down to her coastal beach hut where she combines her haul with natural butters and nutrients to produce her beauty range.
