My first job of the year was a personal commission by former Professional Masterchef contestant and food writer Marianne Lumb.
Plans to open her own haute cuisine restaurant later this year are well under way and for the various media attention she is beginning to receive, she needed a new set of press pictures in her chef whites.
After starting with the obligatory studio style headshots, we decided to do a few lifestyle shots which I think work really well. She had an unbelievable array of colourful recipe books so I couldn’t resist to pose her in front of them as a contrast to the stark white backdrop of the previous images.
It was a really lovely relaxed shoot to start my year and I wish Marianne all the best for her restaurant.
